Nifty Nappy {Giveaway}

I love talking cloth diapers to anyone and I especially like finding a product that works great for my family that I can share confidently with others as a great purchase to make. I have had an absolute wonderful experience with Vilate's Nifty Nappy and Woolie Wrap combo ever since I received them!

Not being one to be all that impressed with one-sized fitted diapers, I have to say that this was fantastic. The fit was perfect for my then 7 week old and my 27 month old and from my experience it's hard to find a one-sized diaper that actually fits all sizes perfectly. You can view the tutorial on how to fit to a smaller baby here. It's also not as bulky as some fitted and if used with a sleek cover it's close to the size of a disposable. I also liked that the elastic in the legs were very gentle for my ever so chunky thighed baby, it never leaves elastic marks on him which is rare to find with how big he is now at 12 weeks. This fitted one sized diaper is made of adorable cotton knit for the outer (we have the ogga booga and it's adorable) , hemp sandwiched inside and the layer that's next to your babies skin is microbfiber to help wick away moisture into the hemp. The snaps actually go through all the material so you don't need to worry about them pulling through. The diaper comes with an organic hemp fleece/bamboo velour lay in insert. I really like the organic bamboo absorbency and the velour is super soft on my babies skin.

Now to talk Wool! I will admit this is my very first time really giving wool a fair chance. It's never appealed to me, seemed like a lot of work and when I really got to try it my child it actually felt damp all the time so I tossed it and never thought about it again. Vilate's Woolie wrap came and it looked so great I had to give it a try again. To my surprise if it was actually lanolized and I changed baby when he was wet it worked really well. I absolutely love the fit of the woolie wrap as well, it fits perfectly over the Nifty Nappy Fitted diaper and the other fitted diapers I use on occasion. I was surprised too that even though it does take more time to care for a wool soakers/longies/woolie wraps once you get the hang of it (like cloth diapering in general) it's not all that difficult.

I too have never had such great care instructions sent to me with a diaper. Because of the great instructions I received on how to care for wool is the reason I am now using them. I was confused on how it worked and why I didn't have to wash after each use, and really.. how do I wash them? The instructions are easy to follow and aren't complicated. There are tons of fabric's to choose from for the fitted diapers and the woolie's are actually made out of recycled wool sweaters, which I think is great. We received a really cute brown and green, perfect to go with the Ooga Booga fitted fabric. Read more about Vilate's Diapers.

Buy It! I know you want to try one of these. Get a Nifty Nappy Fitted & Woolie Wrap, you won't be disappointed. Use coupon code FLIPNAPPY and save 10% off your purchase!

HABA Games {Giveaway}

In our techno-crazed world right now it's not often that we see kids actually sitting down to play a board game. I know I get caught up in technology, I love it - but at the same time I really want my kids to enjoy playing games that actually incorporate talking to each other and taking turns that will help promote speech, problem solving skills all while still having fun. The award-winning maker of children's products, HABA has many games for your children and what a great gift for the Holiday season.

We received the Castle Knights game from HABA to play in our home. I thought it would be great game for us, building castle towers quickly before the time runs out. This game is geared for children 5+, but I think it's for children a bit older than that. My husband and I even had a bit of a time getting the stretchy band over the blocks and stacked on top of each other before the time ran out. Besides the difficulty of the band that game is fun and my kids really like playing (even though younger than the age range.) We just modified it by using our hands and they still have just as much fun! I like the different shaped blocks, the different block people and that the kids learn to work quickly through time, matching through the cards and by playing together to achieve a goal.

You can check out all the HABA toys at www.mauliko.com. HABA toys and games are available at many different US specialty retail stores, website and specialty catalogs. "Many of its products have been recognized with German and American awards including Parents' Choice, National Parenting Center, Creative Child and Parents' Guide." To find out more information visit www.HABAusa.com.

My Virtual Tutor: Reading{Giveaway}

I was a bit nervous, the thought of getting my four year old started on video games on the Nintendo DS wasn't exactly something I was ready for. However "My Virtual Tutor" for pre-k to kindergarten has been nothing but educational, fun and exciting for my son. Never playing a Nintendo DS Game before I thought it may take him awhile to really understand how to play and and guide his way through My Virtual Tutor - boy was I wrong. One time sitting with him playing, he took right too it and now begs to play his "School work" as he calls it.

My Virtual Tutor has eight interactive books for your child to learn from. Four different play modes: Read To Me, I Can Read, Interactive, & Paint. Through the self correcting practice the game actually advances with your child. You can save the games and easily come back to them. Five reading areas, Phonemic awareness, phonics, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. At first I wasn't sure because it seemed as though the Pre-K thru Kindergarten was going to be way to hard for my son. He really caught on though and I've noticed he's been asking me what letters spell certain things, which I have to believe is from the game. There are lots of fun activities to play on the game like; painting, matching, recording the sentence yourself, tracing letters, picking the correct work, rhyming, coloring the pictures for the book, listening and much more. Though we haven't had a lot of educational games like this for my children to try yet, I really like what My Virtual Tutor has and that's it's been recommended by the Department of Education to Improve Kids Abilities.

You can read more about My Virtual Tutor by logging on to www.myvirtualtutorgame.com, even play a demo and Here to view webisole. The game is also available for K-1st Grade and 1st-2nd Grade. The My Virtual Tutor Game is available at mass and specialty retailers throughout North America such as Toy "R" Us, GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon.com. If your child loves the Nintendo DS and you're looking for an educational game, this would be ideal for Christmas!

Win! One Momma in Flip Flops2 reader will win My Virtual Tutor Game for the Nintendo DS (Nintendo DS not included) in your choice of Pre-K - Kindergarten, k-2st, or 1st-2nd Grade. To Enter-

PUR, Flavor Option Water Pitcher {Giveaway}

We have horrible water where I live, the tests always come back that it's just under not being safe to drink. Seriously, do I really want to be putting that into my body, let alone my families? Probably not! So, as you can imagine I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review the PUR Flavor Options water pitcher. "PUR is the first leading water filtration brand to claim reduction of trace levels of pharmaceuticals identified in U.S. tap water, 96% from pitchers. "

We received the Flavor Optioned PUR water pitcher with two (raspberry & grape) of the four flavored concentrates (lemon and strawberry.) "PUR Flavor Options is the first and only water filtration system to date that allows consumers to choose unflavored or flavored filtered water by the glass." I really like this option, because part of my family really enjoys flavored water, while the rest of us do not care for it as much. I like that I can have one water pitcher in the refrigerator to satisfy everyone. I have noticed though that if someone has just recently gotten a cup of flavored water, that when you go to get unflavored there is just a bit of a flavored taste left behind. What I also like about this water pitcher is that it actually has a built in electronic, filter life indicator which is a blinking light that changes to a red when it's time to change the filter, unlike other filtration pitchers I've used - so we end up using the filter longer than we should and not really benefiting from it. The filter should last about 40 gallons of water, depending on your use (1 to 2 months). I also love that it doesn't leave black specks from the filter, we've had this happen from other filtration pitchers. I couldn't believe when I read that it removes 2X what a Britta Filter would.. wow, did I really have that much more to be removed?! Yes, it leave my water coming out clean and refreshing! The pitcher is sleek, yet still holds quite a bit so it fits in the side of my refrigerator. The cartridges for the flavored water are very easy to put in and out and you can exchange them even if they aren't empty, which I think it nice. To add flavor to your water, all you have to do is press a button on the top of the pitcher while pouring, super easy!

I'm very happy with my PUR Flavor Option water pitcher and plan to use it over my other Filtration Pitcher. I really hate the idea of drinking bottled water, even though we recycle drinking from plastic bottles isn't my ideal at all. PUR also has other options for filtering your water besides the water pitcher. Take a look at the website at www.purwater.com for more information.

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a PUR Flavored Option Water Pitcher, with flavor cartridge and filter. To enter-

BaBalu Inc. - {Giveaway}

It's rare to find those classic toys that promote creative thinking. Mostly what you find are toys that require batteries that you are constantly replacing. Babalu Inc. is bringing back those creative toys like felt boards and building blocks at easily affordable prices, like most under $20-25 dollars. My son and daughter both received a fun toy from Babalu Inc. and have been having several hours of imaginative, creative fun with them.

My daughter is very much into fairy princesses - she loves them! She has endless hours of fun playing with the FeltTales, Pretty Princess board. Dress the princess up in different dresses along with her handmaidens, and go on a magical ride with her horse and carriage. You can make wishes, play with the frogg and even visit the castle, all by easily placing in different ares on the felt board. The board also comes with a little plastic carry case to keep your felt objects in and the board has an easy to carry handle. There are many FeltTales to choose from; Noah's Ark, Hero's to the Rescue, The Jungle and more.

My son received the Do Re Mi Musical Blocks from WJ Fantasy (a company BaBalu Inc. recently acquired) that we've been playing a lot with lately. I took piano lessons for nearly seven years and it's important to me that my children also know how to play a musical instrument. This is a great way to start to learn to read music, from the little song book that's included. The blocks represent the full "C" scale with a different note on each block. We've been playing different songs like Old MacDonald & Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. My son only being four is catching on and enjoys knowing he can actually play a song by hitting the correct note. I like the toy because it's a teaching tool for learning more than just music, your letters as well. You can find many other products from WJ Fantasy line, from toys and games, advent calenders and more.

Looking to purchase FeltTales or something from WJ Fantasy? WJ Fantasy products are available at www.amazon.com or www.kazootoys.com. FeltTales can be found at specialty stores nationwide and online at www.amazon.com and www.roundtabletoys.com.

Win! One Momma In Flip Flops2 reader will win a set of the Do-Re-Mi Musical Blocks from WJ Fantasy (which are currently out of stock). To Enter-

BooJee Beads.com {Giveaway}

Wearing an Name badge, ID or anything of that liking isn't always very fun. Clip it on and it's just there. Now you can look good and still wear your ID with the products BooJee Beads has to offer. I wish I would have known about this site when I had to wear my name badge nearly every single day. I received the lovely Bonnie Beaded Lanyard to take a look at and it's fabulous. The quality is great and I love the femininity of the lanyard gives. The Bonnie Beaded Lanyard is "pretty pink organza ribbons are accented with natural stones in varying shades of transparent light rose colors and tiny pink crystal beads to create a charmingly feminine lanyard. It's finished with a silver bottom ring to hang your badge holder on. This special ID necklace comes with a plastic pocket to display your ID horizontally or vertically and features a magnetic safety clasp. It hangs 18" from back of neck." I love that the clasp is a strong magnetic clasp, so if it were to get pulled on, it won't break but just come apart to easily put back on again. A great quality, I would love to wear this as just a necklace for every day.

BooJee Beads has so many of these fabulous lanyards, I love the Fashion Lanyards, you would never know you're even looking at something to hold an ID, but a cute necklace to wear with any outfit. It's fall and what better to spruce up your outfit, with a fall lanyard like the Gold Canyon Lanyard. Very unique, goes with lots and very fall. If you aren't in need of a lanyard, or have nobody to buy one of these for; BooJee Beads also carries ID Badge Reels, Eyeglass Holders, Badge Clips and Lanyard Accessories, with a big selection under each of those categories.

Young Scientists Club {Giveaway Has Ended}

My kids are still a little bit young to really understand and get into doing experiments and fun things that have to do with science. However I have two younger brothers who are home schooled so when I had the opportunity to review the Slime Kit from The Young Scientists Club I couldn't wait to have a science day with my brothers and see what this was all about.

My brothers and I had a lot of fun diving in to the fun with the Magic School Bus's, Slime, Goop and Gel kit where we learned all sorts of neat things while doing experiments.. My brothers are 9 and 11 and the kit was easy enough for them to do the experiments and understand what we were doing. We got to discover oobleck, produce glue from milk, grow jiggly marbles, make snow from crystals, we made a bouncy ball, created slime, melted fake snow and expand super-absorbent gel crytals and while learning about polymers. I'm telling you, I really felt like a young scientist myself. The instructions were easy to follow and there was even extra supplies to do some of the experiments later. I thought it was great too that you could do a project a day and many you got to let sit for hours to see what the results were. Even write in the book about what you learned and what the reactions were, etc. These are great for home schoolers, or those that go to school to learn at home as a fun project to do as a family.

The ages for these kits are intended for children 5+ so I would love to get another one of the many Young Scientists Clubs kits to do with my children when they're a bit older. The Young Science Club receives the Top Toy Industry award year after year for their novel approach to science education. One of these kits would be great for the scientists in your life, a great educational and fun Christmas gift and there are different ones for older children as well. There are several Magic School Bus and other Young Scientist Club kits to receive. If you're looking for more information you can view The Young Scientists Club's Store.

Win! One lucky Momma In Flip Flops2 will win their choice of the three newest kits introduced this year from The Young Scientist Club. (Magic School Bus Going Green, Magic School Bus Diving into Slim, or Science on a Gardening Adventure.) To Enter-

Pedipeds {Review}

[<span class=

I've reviewed Pedipeds shoes different times, all being a different style, for a different gender or for the different types Pedipeds has to offer. When my son was born I received the chocolate brown suede, Ethan shoes for my little guy to look adorably cute in. At this time with my little guy being only 11 weeks he can't fit into the extra smalls yet. Pediped shoes are based on average foot sizes and tend to run on the larger size, so I didn't except them to fit quite yet. It's best when purchasing from Pediped to use their size chart and read more before purchasing, to be sure to get the correct size. I've never had a problem getting the correct size when it comes to the other Pediped shoes we own.

If you are new to the Pediped line and don't know a lot about them - there are two types, the Original and the Flex. The Originals are very flexible, have extra cushion and support on your child's ankle. I always like them for little ones that can't walk even because they actually stay on and if your child is thrashing around like little ones tend to do they still stay in place without being bulky and hinder some for the child. They also have slip resistance soles, which is important for little ones. Read more about the Originals and the Flex's from Pediped.

I love how Pediped cares about your child's feet. The shoes are "the next best thing to bare feet" and that's really important to me. My oldest son didn't wear any type of shoes until he was 14 months old because I didn't know about flexible shoes. Now my kids have a growing collection when they're younger. Read about feet health from the Pediped website.

Japanese Weekend {Giveaway Has Ended}

I first had the opportunity to try the apparel from Japanese Weekend when I was pregnant with our newest little guy and I was very happy with the quality and the fit. I also liked how several different online sites actually carried the products, making it easier to find! Since having the baby I've still been wearing my maternity/nursing shirts I received, the pajamas and now I've had the chance to work with Japanese Weekend themselves and try out other actual nursing products from their line.

Through my pregnancy and nursing now for a few months I've been able to try different types of things that seem to work better. I really love the pants and shirts pajamas for maternity, the fit was great and very comfortable. They work good for nursing, but you do have to nurse by exposing your entire breast, no problems for night times though as long as you do not leave the material folded back for an extended period of time. The maternity nightgown and robe is so feminine, lovely and soft. I love to wear this, it's easy to nurse in, but just like the above exposes you fully. I also had the opportunity to try a few of the past season tops, all of which can be used for maternity and then again for after baby while nursing (and if you don't nurse, you can't even tell they're a nursing top). Many had the ruched sides, which I think are very flattering during pregnancy and help slim you when still having a pouch belly after wards or give you a more of flattering look when trying to get back to pre-pregnancy size. With these particular shirts you have to pull down the neck and there is an underlying material that is easily pulled to the side for nursing, you would most likely need a blanket or nursing cover to nurse discreetly when out in public with these tops.

Japanese Weekend carries several different maternity and nursing items. I know for many it's important to shop Earth Friendly and they also carry items for you. Also be sure to browse the Clearance and Sale section of the site if you are looking for a deal, you never know what you'll find. I'm loving the Maternity/Nursing Tunic. I love tunics and they are impossible to nurse in easily if not made for nursing.
